About the Campsite
Assateague is approximately 3 hours away. This group camp site is a walk-in campground so you will have to carry all of your items into the site. We will be camping on the beach side and sand stakes are needed to secure your tent to the beach sand. The site is supposed to have 2 - 3 fire pits and about 3 - 4 picnic tables. The site is non electric and there are cold showers.
Given the remote location, cell phone service can be poor. Shade tents/umbrellas are recommended. Weather and summer storms can be unpredictable and mosquitoes are present in the summer months.
